There are many types of diets that fall into vegetarianism, this is a quick intro to the land of the veggie eaters.

Semi-Vegetarian (Flexitarian)

They avoid any meat products but will eat it on occasion.

Pollotarian

They don’t eat red meat, fish and seafood, but they do eat chicken and other fowl.

Pescatarian

They don’t eat red meat or poultry, but do eat fish and seafood. Pescetarians don’t eat land animals for environmental reasons, as well as some believe that fish don’t feel pain.

Lacto-ovo Vegetarian

They don’t eat any meat, including red meat, poultry, or fish. However, they do eat eggs and dairy.

Lacto Vegetarian

They don’t eat meat (red meat, poultry, fish, etc.) and eggs. They do however eat dairy products.

Vegan

They don’t eat meat or any animal by products including dairy and eggs.

There are so many reasons for going vegetarian, whether it’s religious, environmental issues, animal rights issues. Whatever way you participate in vegetarianism, you are conscious of what you are putting on your plate to some extent. That is commendable!
